Voices from Gaza & Israel – Mitschnitt unserer Auftaktveranstaltung im Rahmen der Reihe “between the lines”
This event brought together voices from Gaza and Israel to explore how humanitarian solutions and a debate that unites rather than divides can look. Through personal stories, lived experiences, and open dialogue, the panel sheds light on paths toward peace, mutual understanding, and coexistence beyond political frontlines.
The speakers shared their individual journeys and challenges in the context of the ongoing conflict, highlighting possibilities for encounter, dialogue, and solidarity. The discussion also addresses how the polarized debate in Germany is perceived by people directly affected by the situation on the ground.
It took place on 12th November 2025 in WERK 2 in Leipzig.

Kurz vor dem Jahresende tauchte im Internet ein Sharepic auf, das zu einer Demonstration unter dem Motto „Antifa means free palestine“ nach Leipzig-Connewitz aufruft. Einen Tag später folgte ein präzisierender Aufruf, unter anderem veröffentlicht von der antisemitischen Gruppierung Handala. Darin werden das linXXnet und das Conne Island explizit als feindliche Orte markiert. Der Text arbeitet mit Lügen und kalkulierten Falschdarstellungen, um Stimmung in den sozialen Medien zu erzeugen. …
